The Bloomington community is mourning the passing of Jeanne B. Roloff, who died peacefully on August 8, 2026, at the age of 96 with her family by her side.
Jeanne was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to George and Eleanor (Pohl) Kletzke. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman, her parents and her brother, George.
A graduate of St. Catherine University, Jeanne spent many years working as a corporate and public librarian. Her professional life reflected her love of books, knowledge and learning, interests that continued throughout her life.
Beyond her career, family was at the center of Jeanne’s world. She enjoyed spending time with relatives and friends and was remembered as an avid reader and the family genealogist. Her interest in genealogy allowed her to preserve family history and maintain connections between generations.
Jeanne was especially proud of her four grandsons and their accomplishments. Her family described a woman whose life was defined by devotion to those she loved and by the many relationships she built over the years.
One of the most important relationships in Jeanne’s life was her marriage to Norman. The couple shared 73 years together, and she remained devoted to her husband, who was her constant companion throughout much of her life.
Jeanne is survived by her children, Mark (Becky) Roloff and Anne (Robert) Lamppa; her grandsons, Luke (Beth) Roloff, John (Jennifer) Lamppa, Thomas (Samantha) Lamppa and Samuel Roloff; seven great-grandchildren, James, Caroline, Julianne, Augustus, Henry, Martin and Arlo; and her sister, Annette Moorhead.
Her family will carry forward the memories of a woman whose life spanned nearly a century and whose love for her family remained a defining part of who she was.
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 8400 France Ave. S., Bloomington. Visitation will take place one hour before the service at the church.

Jeanne B. Roloff leaves behind a family enriched by her love, stories, devotion and commitment to preserving the memories of those who came before her. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, extended family and friends.
