The Victoria, Texas, community is mourning the loss of 26-year-old Terrence Cubit, who died following a serious three-vehicle collision Tuesday night that also left two other people seriously injured.
According to information released by the Victoria Police Department, the crash involved a truck, an SUV and another vehicle. Investigators said 22-year-old Xavier Cantu was driving a truck when it collided with an SUV operated by Cubit.
Cubit was traveling with two other people in the SUV at the time of the crash. According to the police account, 44-year-old Laquanda Callis and a 12-year-old girl were also inside the vehicle.
The collision resulted in multiple injuries and prompted an emergency response from police, firefighters and medical personnel. Cubit suffered serious injuries in the crash and later died.
Callis and the 12-year-old girl were also seriously injured and were transported for medical treatment. Further details about their conditions have not been provided in the information available.
