Joseph was born on November 16, 1961, as the youngest of five sons of George and Corrine (Darah) Joseph. His life was deeply connected to the Toledo area, where he grew up, attended school, established his career and built relationships that remained important throughout his life.
He attended Maumee Valley Country Day School before graduating from Southview High School. He later continued his education at the University of Toledo, where he became a member of Alpha Sigma Phi.
His college years were an important chapter in his life, providing him with friendships and connections that continued long after his time at the university. Those relationships became part of a much larger network of family, friends, business associates and community members who came to know and respect him.
Joseph was recognized not only for his work as a Toledo businessman but also for the personal relationships he developed throughout his life. For those closest to him, his identity extended far beyond his professional accomplishments.
